First Must Watch of 2014 – 2015 – Batman Begins Again in Gotham

Gotham is coming… and I’ll be watching!

FOX Television has the hottest property of the fall and it features the beginning of the Batman story.

I loved Smallville – the retelling of the Superman myth as a coming-of-age story) but it was very Young Adult and aimed at a YA audience. Gotham doesn’t seem as though it’s made for kids.

You can (and you should) take a look HERE.

Leading By Example In Challenging Moments

I’ve met T. J. Martinez. I feel lucky for that. One cannot meet him without being inspired by his energy, his passion and his faith. He lives his many vocations. Fully.

Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about him hearing of his recent diagnosis with cancer.

From The Regis School Website (you can access the page HERE):

We reach out to you to please pray for Father TJ Martinez, SJ, Founding President of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School who has been diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer terminal within a year. Fr. Martinez is undergoing treatment at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is a dynamic leader known for his contagious enthusiasm, his boundless energy, his total trust in God that fosters a fearlessness in the face of overwhelming odds, and his inspiring voice that has rallied the entire city around children in need while highlighting the gift of Catholic education. The entire Houston Catholic community is fervently praying for a miracle for Fr. Martinez. For updates on his condition and treatment, please visit impossiblesoonafter.cristoreyjesuit.org

In a search for signposts in life, one could do worse than looking to T. J. Martinez.
