READ ALL ABOUT IT

When The Force Awakens was announced, there was much speculation among Star Wars fans about all of the happenings that occurred between Return of the Jedi and this new film. “New happenings?” You ask. “Did I miss something?”

Likely, unless you’re a pretty hard-core Star Wars fan, you missed many of the novels published over the intervening years. And the comic books. And the video games (which had story lines of their own). And the animated series The Clone Wars. All of this was considered canon, as in it “really happened” in the Star Wars universe. When The Force Awakens was announced, all of that continuity was washed away and the only piece of non-live action film to remain was the new animated series Star Wars: Rebels.

That’s all about to change. As you can read about in an Entertainment Weekly piece HERE, there’s about to be A LOT of Star Wars fiction to bridge the 32 years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. In at least 20 new novels, young adult books, sticker books, technical manuals and the like, we will get to find out what happened to Luke, Han and the Princess during the last three decades.

Count. Me. In.
