And There Came A Day To Prepare For Age Of Ultron

Lately And There Came A Day has been filled with preparations for The Force Awakens. The Daily Star Wars Countdown is evidence enough of that, but there are other movies between now and December 18 which I am very much looking forward to seeing.

First among them in release date and in my anticipation is Avengers: Age of Ultron.

We’re a month away from assembling again, people!

Over the next four weeks, leading up to Age of Ultron, there is only one way to adequately prepare: watch all the films that have laid the ground work for the new movie and, if you’re extra excited, you can watch the television Marvel Cinematic Universe as well.

I will be watching (re-watching) most of the below suggestions. I’ve got Agent Carter on the DVR and I hear it’s very good. I will also re-post reviews of the films and shows I’ve seen before after I watch them and post reviews of the films and shows which I’ve not previously reviewed when I see them.

If you’re wondering about the proper order to watch these movies and shows (and who isn’t?!?), Here you go!

KEY

BLUE indicates a Marvel Feature Film (these are the essentials)

GREEN indicates a Marvel Television Show (these are important)

PURPLE indicates a “Marvel One-Shot” (these are fun and found on Marvel Blu Rays and DVDs)

Here’s your timeline:

  • CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER
  • AGENT CARTER (season one)
  • MARVEL ONE SHOT: AGENT CARTER
  • IRON MAN
  • IRON MAN 2
  • THE INCREDIBLE HULK
  • MARVEL ONE SHOT: A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THOR’S HAMMER
  • THOR
