HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRISON FORD

Harrison Ford turns 73-years-old today (“When 73-years-old you reach, look so good you will not!”).

Ford made a grand return to the public spotlight over the weekend appearing at San Diego Comic Con with the rest of the cast of The Force Awakens. He came onstage to a thunderous standing ovation and had memorable things to say:

On his March plane crash: “I’m fine. I walked here so how bad can it be?”

On returning to the role of Han Solo: “It should have felt ridiculous. It was thirty plus years ago and I sorta grew up. Yet here I was. I will tell you that it felt great.”

On his reaction to the Star Wars legacy: “”The originals that I was part of, it was the beginning of my working life. I was very grateful for the opportunity for the success of the film.”

Of course, Ford had other successes and here are just a few:

Indiana Jones. The Indiana Jones movies

Jack Ryan. Patriot Games. Clear and Present Danger

John Book. Witness

Rick Deckard. Blade Runner

Richard Kimble. The Fugitive

President James Marshall. Air Force One

And on and on and on…

Happy birthday, Mr. Ford. You’re one of a kind. Or maybe two…
