Whether it makes a difference in the final score or not, it should be noted that this year’s New England/Denver game will be played in the Mile High City, not on the East Coast as it has seemed to be played every year for the last decade. It should also be noted that the hype leading up to the game, if both teams are having, as they are expected to, good seasons, will center on Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and whether or not this will be the last meeting between the two quarterbacks. It will be a wild week leading up to this game Thanksgiving Weekend.
In years past (bracketing the 2013 AFC Championship Game), this game has been an offensive exhibition, with the two teams putting up crazy numbers against one another. I don’t think that will be the case this year. The Broncos defense promises to be excellent and the game plan against the Patriots this year will be to shut down Tom Brady and the Patriots offense. It will not be to play catch up with them and to match score-for-score.
The improved running game in Denver will likely also help the Broncos in this one as the weather in late November can be unpredictable and sloppy.
Look for Von Miller and CJ Anderson to have big games.
Look for Denver to win.
