Star Trek has been around longer than I have. On September 8, 1966, NBC television aired the first episode of a series that would, literally, change the world of science fiction (and the world itself).
The Man Trap, an action oriented adventure was chosen by NBC to be the first episode of Star Trek shown and, though I don’t think many people have this particular show among their personal Top Ten of the original series, it is a very acceptable adventure, setting the stage for the three years that Star Trek would air.
Next summer, during the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, Paramount will release Star Trek Beyond the 12th Star Trek movie!
I am very excited for The Force Awakens but Star Trek is my first science fiction love.
