To commemorate 50 years of boldly going where no one has gone before, And There Came A Day presents a weekly countdown to September 8, 2016 – 50 years to the day of the premiere of Star Trek.

Though I am trying very hard at this point to avoid spoilers for Star Trek Beyond as I will be going with the family in less than two weeks:

Marathon Ticket

All three “Kelvin Timeline” Star Trek movies in one night. Awesome!

Avoiding spoilers, though, is very tough and I saw one today that, if it’s true, will cause controversy and will garner praise.

I’ll be very much on the praise side…

Sulu

… if it turns out that John Cho’s Sulu is, in fact, revealed as gay.
