And There Came a What?

I have thought about blogging for a while now and decided to make a go of it in 2013. I took the title “And There Came A Day” from the famous – in my geek-like circles – tagline from Marvel’s Avengers comic books. Beginning in the 1970’s, most issues of Avengers have begun with a variation on this: “And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth’s mightiest heroes and heroines found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, the Avengers were born—to fight the foes no single super hero could withstand! Through the years, their roster has prospered, changing many times, their glory has never been denied! Heed the call, then—for now, the Avengers Assemble!” 

It seems to me a cool way to organize my thoughts… “and there came I day when I cared about fill in the topic.”

As I begin the blog, I know that my family (Cinnamon Girl – my wife, HJ jr – my step son, Stretch – my son and Sous-Chef  – my daugter), my hobbies (comic books, movies, television, collecting), and my interests (writing, reading, Star Trek, music – NEIL DIAMOND!) will feature prominently.
